Product Description

FitTree's Premium Dry Copra is derived from fully mature coconuts harvested from the finest tropical plantations. Through a careful and hygienic drying process (using sun or solar dryers), we reduce the moisture content to optimal levels while preserving the integrity of the white meat. This results in a product rich in healthy fats and free from the mold or discoloration often found in lower-grade alternatives.

At Fittree International, we understand the critical needs of our clients, particularly oil millers and confectioners. Our copra typically boasts an oil content of 65-70%, ensuring a high yield for extraction. Available in both "Ball Copra" (whole round) and "Cup Copra" (halves) varieties, our stock is inspected to be free from smoke residue and foreign matter, guaranteeing a pure, nutty flavor and a long, stable shelf life for export.

Key Features & Health Benefits

  • Source of Healthy Fats: Extremely rich in Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) and Lauric Acid, which support immune function and provide a quick energy source.
  • Nutrient Dense: Packed with essential minerals like manganese, copper, and iron, which are vital for bone health and red blood cell formation.
  • Antimicrobial Properties: The natural oils in copra have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal qualities that contribute to gut health.
  • Extended Shelf Life: The low moisture content makes it highly resistant to spoilage, allowing for long-term storage and transport without refrigeration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Dry Copra β€” answered by our export team.

A

Moisture below 6–8%, Free Fatty Acid (FFA) below 1% (milling-grade) to below 0.5% (edible-grade), aflatoxin below 10 ppb, and oil content minimum 64–68% dry basis. Uniform cream-white color with no mold required for premium export grade.

A

Edible Grade (best color, moisture below 6%, FFA below 0.5% β€” for virgin coconut oil and edible oil pressing), Milling Grade (FFA below 1–2% β€” for RBD coconut oil production), and Ball Copra (oven-dried whole halves β€” traditional premium grade from Karnataka and Kerala).

A

MOQ is 1 MT. A 20 ft container holds 12–14 MT. Packaging in 25 kg and 50 kg PP or jute bags. Primary sourcing from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka β€” India's three largest coconut-producing states.

A

Aflatoxin testing is the most critical parameter. Every batch tested for aflatoxin B1 (below 5 ppb EU limit), FFA, moisture, peroxide value, heavy metals, and microbiological parameters at NABL labs. Temperature and humidity-controlled storage and shipping are mandatory.

A

Coconut oil pressing (RBD and virgin coconut oil), desiccated coconut manufacturing, copra meal (high-fat animal feed), and direct consumption in traditional South Indian cuisine. Major buyers include coconut oil mills and desiccated coconut processors in EU, USA, and Southeast Asia.

A

Mechanical kiln-drying (not weather-dependent sun-drying), moisture testing before storage, temperature and humidity-controlled warehousing, FIFO inventory management, and mandatory aflatoxin testing before every export shipment.
